My family and I want to thank you for the wonderful services provided by you and your staff during the last months of my beloved fathers’ life. From that day in September 2012 when I was greeted by Ruth at the reception desk, to the kind reassurance, by the sweet Violet Bischoff, that your agency could meet our needs, our journey was made easier with your services. Each and every employee extended caring and sympathy whenever I came into your office seeking help from Dawn, Fran or Ed Lino, to the day Kathleen McCarthy secured hospice care when we were required total comfort for my fathers’ last days. We are grateful to the “fill in” aides who did their best to care for my father in the absence of his regular aide, namely Marcia, Vita, Fauzia and Judy… please thank each of them for us.
We give our most humble and grateful appreciation for gracing our family with the spectacular Grisleida. We stand in amazement at the common sense and incredibly strong work ethic she possesses at such a young age, qualities any employer would desire in their workforce. “Leida” calmly guided us through the changing phases of my fathers’ dementia. She extended warm, unconditional compassion to this every need each minute her was in her care. She delighted in singing to him as she cooked his favorite breakfast, giving him the treats he loved and even introduced him to some treats he didn’t know he liked! We will carry joyful memories of him clean, laughing and comfortable in the comfort of his own home. Leida lifted the burden of caring for our father so we could savor the days and months we had left with him in fun, happy moments. Leida renewed our faith in the goodness and love on humanity. We believe we have witnessed the embodiment of an angel on earth in the spirit of Leida and we will hold her dear to our hearts, as a member of our family forever.
Sincerely, Kathy R.
